Your body is your first home. A place where you live from your first to your last breath.
This house is not only the body, but also feelings, thoughts, dreams, plans, fears. Whether we are aware of it or not, it is all there and lives within us. All these aspects are expressed in muscle tension, our body posture, the way we move, talk and it reflects readiness to take various actions everyday. Paying attention to your body and what it communicates to us, consciously working on specific aspects of movement, learning and expanding the repertoire of our movement can help to build greater awareness, peace and balance that so many of us strive for nowadays.
Our bodies communicate to us and bodies want, an know how, to be 100% well. We need to listen to them and help them, by opening their vital channels and networks. Stress, injuries, exsperience of different emotions may create blockages which lead us to lees joyfull life. This doesn’t have to be the case. We can increase our body awareness, which means how conscious and connected we are to our own body. By opening and allowing the body to reform through movement we can heal a lot. Even knee or back issues to some pain pain previously considered to only be alleviated through special therapies.
When practise body awareness always introduce the movement experiences through instructions or words. For example, the experience of movement from the center can be said: “experience how you can initiate movement from the center” or “experience how your center begins to move in different directions”. By moving with special instructions, we give the body an opportunity to explore the movement, which recognized and developed over time will begin to go beyond one’s own habits and patterns. Thanks to this, we will begin to explore other paths in our lives.
Try to find the time for your movement everyday. Could it be dancing to your 2 favourite songs. This practise can take only 6 minutes, but have enormous positive effect for whole your day and life. This movement practise create body awareness ( ask your body how is today) and support the feeling of flow in the whole body. After this dance breathe consciounsly for one minute. Observe your body without any judgemantal thoughts. It is very important that there are no bad or good moves. However, there are different qualities, contexts that affect how we perceive and think.
It’s work through movement – it’s like opening a door.
The door to yourself, others and life.
